Revived Overworld Launches Genesis NFTs, Sell Out in Seconds
Revived Overworld, a web3 gaming platform built on Unreal Engine 5, saw its first collection of Genesis NFTs debut on July 31.
The collection of 600 free-to-mint NFTs sold out in under five seconds, with Revived now preparing for the launch of its upcoming team-based arena shooter, Strifest.
These NFTs are now being traded on popular secondary markets such as Magic Eden and OpenSea, with the floor price currently sitting at 0.058 $ETH.
What is Revived Overworld?
Revived Overworld is a video game platform that aims to create a shared bridge between web2 and web3 environments via a no-code game maker and asset creator available to players.
These tools enable users to create, buy, sell, and trade in-game assets, with no centralized game studio owning or controlling these digital assets.
The Revived ecosystem currently consists of a free-to-play shooter, a game host and manager, a game maker, an asset creator, and a marketplace.
What is Strifest?
Strifest is a free-to-play team-based arena shooter inspired by competitive Minecraft multiplayer minigames.
Developed with Unreal Engine 5, Strifest offers a competitive multiplayer experience where sixteen players, divided into four teams, compete on various islands. The game also allows players to customize their abilities and build defenses, adding strategic depth to the title.
The game has seen significant online engagement, with a 300% increase in Revived Overworld’s online following and community forums so far this year.
What are the benefits to holding a Genesis NFT?
Genesis NFT holders will receive early access to Strifest, exclusive content, and private builds.
Holders will also be eligible for an airdrop of Revived Overworld’s upcoming cryptocurrency token, expected to launch later this year. Additionally, the platform’s in-game currency will be available as rewards for NFT holders, earned through a variety of activities such as quests, tournaments, and milestones.
“The technology aims to boost true ownership, creation and decentralization, all while maintaining the seamless gameplay that we’re used to with web2 games,” said Tom Cichocki, founder and CEO of Revived Overworld. “Players can earn coins through various in-game activities, such as completing quests, participating in tournaments, and achieving milestones.”
The company is now preparing for a token launch on centralized exchanges, with the full launch of Revived Overworld expected to arrive later in 2024.
